A prayer request and an update

We just received word that one of the missionaries we serve, Pat and Lisa McCoy, just lost their baby yesterday. Noah McCoy was born 3/13/09. This family has one other child. They had tried for years, but the Lord said wait. He blessed them with Levi, then they found out they were expecting again last Fall. Lisa and I have had many talks about motherhood. That was what she wanted if that was what the Lord wanted. Please pray for them. I wish you could meet them. What a sweet couple. Here is their e-mail if you'd like to encourage them. truth2ak@afo.net (Photo of the McCoys and their first son Levi.)

We are safe at home in Alaska. We now have a new family member. Earl's mom moved up here to live with us. She was needing some assistance, so we made the option to bring her with us. Someone asked me how I could do that. I just looked at them and said "well, I serve missionaries all the time. The Lord gave me a love of serving. If I can't serve my Mother in Law, then I'm a hypocrite." She's very sweet and kind. A true joy as a mother in law. I only pray that she will look at me the same way : )

The Lord worked another miracle for our ministry. He just gave us a plane. It is a Aerostar. It is going to be used to fly the missionaries in style. It's beautiful! Very clean and nice. Earl calls it a Cadillac.

Well, I've got to start some unpacking in my room. Earl is tired of living out of tubs and boxes.

Have a blessed day,
Lynn

It's so hard to believe!

It is so hard to believe that my baby turned 15 today. Man, does time fly or what?

He has grown so much in the last year. Physically, mentally, but most importantly, Spiritually. In May, JD asked the Lord to come into his life and save him. Yes he had "prayed" before, but that was all it was. There were still issues with anger and being dis-obedient. The Lord really got a hold of him at camp.

Isn't it sad how kids can grow up in churches and the sermons NEVER make them think about their salvation? Too many churches today have put salvation on the back row. The right music, right dress and making sure our services are "on schedule" have all become more important than someone's eternity. I encourage you to look at your church. Do they have salvation where it needs to be? Is it preached about? How are your invitations?

That's my sermon for the day. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JD!

10 (a) 4 (b) 2 (c) 3 (d) 5 (e) 6 (f) 1

Now add up the total number of points.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

OVER 60 POINT: Others see you as someone they should "handle with care". You're seen as vain, self-centered, and extremely dominant. Others may admire you, wishing they could be more like you, but don't always trust you, hesitating to become too deeply involved with you.

51 TO 60 POINTS : Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather impulsive personality, a natural leader, who's quick to make decisions, though not always the right ones. They see you as bold and adventuresome, someone who will try anything once, someone who takes chances and enjoys an adventure. They enjoy being in your company because of the excitement you radiate.

41 TO 50 POINTS : Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting, someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well balanced not to let it go to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding, someone who'll always cheer them up and help them out.

31 TO 40 POINTS: Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you, realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over if that trust is ever broken.

21 TO 30 POINTS: Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy. They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder. It would really surprise them if you ever did something impulsive or on the spur of the moment, expecting you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then, usually decide against it. They think this reaction is caused partly by your careful nature.

UNDER 21 POINTS: People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive, someone who needs looking after, who always wants someone else to make the decisions and who doesn't want to get involved with anyone or anything! They see you as a worrier who always sees problems that don't exist. Some people think you're boring. Only those who know you well, know that you aren't.

I think it will warm up some in North Pole!

As we are down here in SC, our friends in North Pole, AK have been suffering with crazy cold. It has been below -40 for almost 3 weeks. However, wunderground, com says it will warm up starting tomorrow. They're talking maybe +25 toward the end of the week. Now that sounds great and all, but the roads will be a mess. 0 is about perfect after this kind of cold snap. It will feel like spring has sprung. It sounds crazy, but we so wished we were there. The Ice fog has even lifted.

Y'all have a great day!

Prayer request

I have a prayer request for you tonight.

I just ran into an old childhood friend tonight. She informed me that she has Bronchiole tube cancer and maybe more. They are going for a 2nd opinion. She has told no one else besides her husband. She doesn't want to tell her mom right now for there are other things that are going on in her moms life. I asked permission to ask prayer and she said yes. So I am asking for you to pray for her. She is saved, about 35-38, and has 2-3 kids.

Thank you,

Lynn

PS
I also have an unspoken request that I'd like you to pray about.
